Let's go real racing!
I’ve lost count of the number of weeks spent largely at home, but thankfully there have been some improvements in the situation and it seems as though restrictions from lockdown are being gradually eased.
After a few conversations about the probability of Spa going ahead with Simon, I’ve decided it might be best to prepare for the race no matter the outcome for 2020 (Worst case scenario, I will have my upgrade license ready for the race in 2021 if it is cancelled). However, based on it going ahead this year, the big challenge will be getting an upgraded race license in time! This means completing my six novice races and having them verified by the clerk of the course on each occasion with their signature. Now being June, it’s going to be a squeeze to fit them all in before the big day in late september, but I’m confident that it will all work out.
On that note, I’m now officially booked in for 2 race weekends on the trot! Completely different schedule to what I had been planning, but probably a better result as that means more practice in the MGB. Many thanks to Simon for making the MGB available and the trust to take it out on a few solo runs!
